AFRICAN AMERICANS ENGAGED is on a mission to aggressively concentrate on giving Black
Americans a foundational base that will help electrify them to vote. Michigan, our home state, has
10,077,331 people living within its boundaries. 14.2%, (1,410,826) are African American. Elections have
consequences, and they are not always positive. Creating a positive narrative starts with voting.
